Hi there! I'm Cindy, the artist and founder of Cindy Hughes Design, where bold color and boho design meets hand-crafted charm. Since it's my first post - I thought I'd introduce myself and what I do here.
My Story
I started as a small side-hustle in 2018: hand-lettering prints and wedding invitations on Etsy. It was a small way for me to stay connected with creativity alongside my corporate 9-5. When I couldn't find front porch home decor that fit my vibe, I decided to create my own. I threw a few of my welcome mat designs on my Etsy shop and had one go viral. The rest is history! I'm now a full-fledged design studio dedicated to bringing eclectic style, bold color, and whimsical takes on everyday doormats. I'm a one-woman shop: I do everything from designing, to painting, to packaging, to product photography, to marketing, to social media management. It's a lot - but I love being my own boss.
I'm now on Etsy, here, and you can find me in about 50 home boutiques nationwide. I've got over 2k 5 star reviews and counting!
Hand-Painted, Heart-Made
Each design begins as a pencil sketch on paper before being transformed into a graphic I use for my websites. Once orders are placed, I hand-paint the designs onto the mats using durable paints and materials. No 2 items are ever exactly alike - that's the magic of handmade!
